House rules and conditions

Treetops Holiday Home is a self-catering holiday home situated in Marloth Park, Mpumalanga, South Africa. This is our home which we cherish and we expect you to respect it as well as its surroundings. Any serious damage to the house or its contents is the guest's responsibility and will be charged. Please report before you leave to our caretaker.


House rules and regulations

Treetops is our home in the bush that we love and cherish, we kindly ask you to treat it as if it is your own.

Upon booking at Treetops you automatically agree with our terms and conditions, house rules and the rules of Marloth Park.
You will be asked to sign the conditions upon arrival and before receiving the key. After signing, you can enjoy your stay at Treetops holiday home


All rules and conditions automatically apply to all our guests.

  • Adults and children are very welcome in Treetops, please do keep an eye on your children at all times as there is a large unfenced pool and wild animals walk around freely. 
  • No glass near the pool.
  • Please do not leave food outside or insight. Baboons or pests will be attracted and Baboons will break in to get to the food. 
  • Please close all doors and windows and activate the alarm when you are leaving the house. Even when you are going out for a short walk.
  • Please do not hand feed any animals. These are wild animals and can harm you.
  • No smoking in the house. You are allowed to smoke outside the house on the patio. Inside smoking is strictly prohibited.
  • Loud noise is not allowed in Marloth Park. This is for your own peace and quiet and above all the safety of the animals. 
  • N.B. The Law Enforcement Officers enforce a no noise policy. When our guests break the noise rules, a fine will be issued. In case we receive this fine, you will be removed immediately from our property (no refunds) and the fine will be charged to you.
  • Please be careful with (open) fires. We are in a bush area and combined with winds open fires can be a real hazard. Don't leave fires (and cigarettes or braais), even smouldering, unattended. Put out the fire with water when you are finished.
  • Please turn off the airconditioners when you are not in the house or in that room. 
  • Please use water economically. You can only drink the water from the tap when you are used to it.
  • By making a booking and entering Treetops, you agree to release and indemnify the owner and their representatives from any and all liability for personal injury, death, or property damage that may occur during your stay. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of any guests, including children, and that you will exercise caution when using the amenities and facilities of the house. These indemnity waivers are binding and apply to all guests, including minors, and will remain in effect for the duration of your stay.


Marloth Park Rules - these apply for all guests

  1. NO pets of any description allowed.
  2. NO loud noise (including music, fireworks, etc.) allowed at any time.
  3. NO speeding - speed limit on tarred roads is 50km and on sand roads 30km. 
  4. NO feeding of wildlife except with approved pellets.
  5. NO spotlights.
  6. NO quad bikes are allowed.


Rental rates include:

  • Use of bedding, bath towels, and kitchen towels. 
  • Use of TV ( DSTV access) and DVD player
  • Gas, water en electricity. 
  • Local Taxes.
  • Use of the washing machine for own laundry
  • Free WIFI 
  • Bedding and towels are changed once a week.
  • Cleaning of the house and garden once a week, when staying more than 7 nights
  • Security services


The owners of Treetops are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to luggage, personal belongings, vehicles, or any injuries of guests which has occurred during your stay. In case of any problems do contact our caretaker Debbie. We also cannot take responsibility for problems with the water and or electricity supply including load shedding, also, we cannot be held responsible for any noises from builders or other holiday makers in the neighborhood.

Feel free to contact us in case of any nuisance you might experience. We will do our very best to make your stay with us a really good one, however we hope you understand we cannot control the weather or behavior of other people and wildlife.
